My Desi Travel Companion ("we", "us") operates the My Desi Travel Companion website and companion-matching service. We act as the data controller for the personal information we collect through the Service.

• Contact information — name, e-mail address, and phone number you provide when submitting a request.
• Travel information — flight details, dates, airports, traveler names and ages, and assistance needs.
• Support communications — messages you send to us by e-mail or contact form.
• Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected via standard web logs and cookies.
• Payment data — collected directly by Paddle (see "Sharing", below). We do not store full card details.

• To create and process companion requests, match travelers with companions, and operate the Service (legal basis: performance of a contract).
• To send transactional emails (request received, companion matched, payment receipts) (contract).
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents (legitimate interests).
• To improve the Service and understand how it's used (legitimate interests).
• To respond to support requests (contract / legitimate interests).
• To comply with our legal obligations (legal obligation).

• Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payments, handles billing, tax, refunds, and chargebacks, and may collect billing details and payment information directly from you. See the Paddle Privacy Notice.
• Matched companions — limited traveler details (name, flight, contact) needed to perform the service.
• Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics providers acting on our instructions.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and compliance advisers where necessary.
• Authorities — when required by law or to protect our rights or others' safety.

Some of our service providers (including Paddle) may process data outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax and accounting), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Request data is typically retained for up to 7 years for accounting purposes. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized.

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audited infrastructure. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is intended for adults arranging travel for themselves or family members. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
